The right to participation in the decision-making process

Under certain circumstances, employees have a right to participation in the decision-making process (medezeggenschap). This is why many organisations have a compulsory or voluntary works council or an employee representation body.

Not only to ensure that your staff supports important decisions, but also because you may need employee participation to make decisions from time to time. They are allowed to participate in discussions (the right to information), regularly contribute ideas (the advisory right) and sometimes even co-decide (the right of consent).
